The Community Youth Orchestras of Boston, MA were founded by Director, Debra Thoresen in September 2003 in an effort to bring motivated musicians from the communities of Greater Boston together to perform quality
repertoire. The goal is to offer students the opportunity for musical and personal growth through orchestral participation. As a member of CYO the student will participate in energetic rehearsals supported by professional standards. The
conductor will inspire musical integrity and maintain a stimulating environment. Through personal dedication and social commitment the student will achieve confidence through successful performance.
